Guest presentation by Shane Glynn, Space Launch Team Leader, Dawn Aerospace
Title: Mk-II Aurora
Abstract: Dawn Aerospace is on a mission to create a more sustainable space industry. They are building a reusable launch vehicle – an aircraft with the performance of a rocket.
Dawn’s goal is to operate a fleet model, launching satellites from existing runways around the world, while safely integrating with other airspace users.
Their subscale technology demonstrator, the Mk-II Aurora is a remotely piloted, rocket-powered, suborbital aircraft that currently tests at Glentanner Aerodrome, Mt Cook. It will be the first vehicle to fly to space and back again twice in a day.
Shane will give an overview of the vision, the vehicle and their roadmap to reach space.
